"Well I'll be go to hell" is a line from the classic movie White Lightning. White Lightning is an awesome movie starring Burt Reynolds and Ned Beatty. It came out in 1973, I think it was the Burt Reynolds movie that followed "Deliverence".
At any rate, it was the last decent movie Burt Reynolds made. This led into "Gator" which was for the most part a POS and then the "Smokey" movies... and next thing you know anything with Burt Reynolds in the credits is a cheeseball piece of crap.
But anyway, White Lightning is an all-time classic, and if you haven't seen it you should buy it from DVD Planet for about 12 bucks, and when it comes in the mail watch it even if you have to call in sick to find time. You will thank me.
So in this movie there is a scene where Burt Reynolds is walking out of a pool hall with a guy who just hired him to run moonshine (see? told you it is a great movie) and they are talking and at one point Burt Reynolds kind of mutters "well I'll be go to hell". Kind of like someone would say "well you don't say", or just "well I'll be". I've never heard that phrase used anywhere else, and it just stuck with me. I can not find that scene on youtube, so once again, you just gotta watch the movie.
At one point early in my career as an insane person who makes people wonder, I tried to start a cross country fad to get people to say "well I'll be go to hell". It never took off, but there's still hope. Look at "it is what it is". Or now the big one is "I know, right?" You get the picture.
So back then I registered wellillbegotohell.com kind of as a joke, and now it has become one of the major success stories of the 21st century.
