Tampa, FLA -
Steve Valdez is a 54 year old Tampa man who suffered the great misfortune of being born without arms. This past Thursday Mr. Valdez suffered another great misfortune - having to deal with Bank of America employees.
Mr. Valdez arrived at the Bank of America with the standard "two photo IDs", intending to cash a check for his wife. Mrs. Valdez has a Bank of America account, Mr. Valdez does not.
When Mr. Valdez handed the check to the Bank of America teller with his prosthetic hand, the teller saw her chance to use her recent Bank of America training in what they call "Shockingly Horrendous Customer Service". The teller used her new Shockingly Horrendous Customer Service training well, saying to Mr. Valdez "obviously you aren't going to be able to give us a thumbprint".
It seems that Bank of America requires all non-account holders who cash a check to leave a thumbprint behind, and people without thumbs are not exempt from the rule.
For the record, this was not just some dingaling teller being stupid. The teller reportedly conferred with the manager about the situation. The manager came out and told Mr. Valdez that he could either open a Bank of America account or come back with his wife.
The fact that the Bank of America manager left the armless Mr. Valdez with the forementioned two options proves without reasonable doubt that Bank of America sucks the brains out of their employees the day they are hired.
Ironically, Mr. Valdez works in a customer service position for Hillborough County. Well, maybe that's not so ironic, but one thing is for sure:
BANK OF AMERICA IS EVIL AND MUST BE STOPPED!!
